Ruddy Copper butterfly

It's finally getting warm enough for butterflies to be out on the regular.  This Ruddy Copper (Lycaena rubidus) is a type of blue (Lycaenidae).  Near Brooks, Alberta, 10 July 2014.

This is the underside of the same individual.  Very pretty fellow and a new species for me.  I think we are somewhat near the edge of its range here in Alberta.  Near Brooks, Alberta, 10 July 2014.
